- The festivals that will be held at the Miguel Ríos Fairgrounds will require specific operations that will be coordinated in future meetings
- The City Council wanted to thank the Government Delegation for its management during the interruption of the electricity supply and the action of the FCSE
The Subdelegate of the Government in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, co-chaired this morning the Local Security Board of Rivas Vaciamadrid with the mayor of the municipality, Aída Castillejo, in which it has dealt with the security during the Fiestas de Mayo and in view of the festivals that the municipality is scheduled to host this summer.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the City Council and was attended by representatives of the Government team; of the Civil Guard; the Local Police; the head of the Citizen Security Unit of the Government Delegation, Sergio Gámez; of Civil Protection and of the Community of Madrid.
During the session, the special device for the next May Festivities has been discussed, which will begin tomorrow and will continue until the next day 18, which includes several improvements such as, for example, the possibility that the fairgrounds can communicate directly with the coordination center in case of an incident. Just like last year, there will be a Violet Point for the attention, information and help of victims of any type of sexist aggression, located in front of the area of the houses.
In addition, the need to plan specific security operations for the major musical events scheduled in June and July (Love the Twenties, Love the 90’s, Love Reggaeton and the Rio Babel Festival) has been raised.
These will take place at the Miguel Ríos Exhibition Centre, which has a capacity for 30,000 people. In this regard, it has been agreed to hold security coordination meetings for each of them.
