- The Local Security Board has been co-chaired by the deputy delegate of the Government of Spain to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor of the town, Alberto Cabezas Ortega
The deputy delegate of the Government of Spain to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor of El Álamo, Alberto Cabezas Ortega, co-chaired today the first Local Security Board of 2025 in which they have reviewed the crime data of 2024 and its evolution so far this year.
It has been found that last year was “exceptionally good”, placing the crime rate at 33.46 points, more than 25 points below that of the Community of Madrid. Hence, the increase experienced in the first quarter of 2025 in certain criminal offences, such as crimes against property, is appreciated in percentage terms, compared to very low previous figures, but is not high in absolute terms. In fact, they are still below those of 2023.
However, the Government’s deputy delegate, without reducing the importance of this upturn, stressed that the Civil Guard has reported that so far in April it has remitted significantly, and highlighted the commitment of the Government Delegation to monitor developments and put the necessary measures in place. In this regard, a meeting has already been arranged with the mayor to address this issue.
At the same time, the presence of agents has been strengthened by the Civil Guard, thanks also to the expansion of the catalogue of the Navalcarnero Post, which serves in El Alamo, and a special action plan has been launched to combat vehicle thefts.
Security in upcoming celebrations
During the Board, which has been attended, in addition to members of the municipal Corporation, representatives of the Civil Guard, the Local Police and the Community of Madrid, the devices for the festive events planned in May have been reviewed.
