- Farmers benefiting from this new resolution will receive the income this June
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has published a new resolution granting aid to 1,191 holders of agricultural holdings of dry farmland, rice and tomato industry, for a total amount of 5,047,378 euros, to compensate for the difficulties due to drought and war in Ukraine. In the case of the Community of Madrid, the amount of aid in this resolution is 27,806 euros, which in addition to the aid granted so far in the region increases the total number of beneficiaries to 1,192 and the total amount of aid granted to 3,746,903.
The aid will be entered into farmers’ bank accounts during this month of June.
With this new payment, the amount of this State aid already paid by the Government amounts to 264 million euros, from which 135,137 farmers have benefited, which represents 98.2% of the total budget of this line.
This State aid was approved by the Government through Royal Decree-Law 4/2023 of 11 May, which adopted urgent agrarian and water measures in response to the drought and the worsening conditions of the primary sector resulting from the war in Ukraine.
The list of holders of agricultural holdings who will receive this aid, together with the number of eligible hectares and the amount of the aid to be received can be consulted on the bulletin board of the electronic headquarters of the Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA).
The holders included in this concession resolution are those who had presented some kind of allegation to the resolution published in the month of March and who, due to its complexity, were referred to the corresponding autonomous communities for their analysis and study. Once the study is done and the requirements are met, the payment is granted.
The published resolution includes a series of holders who have not been paid the aid because they have been detected that they are not aware of their tax obligations or with Social Security. Within a maximum period of one month, a second check will be carried out to verify whether the deficiencies have been remedied and, if they have done so, they will be able to receive the aid. The published resolution also includes those holders who have been denied payment for not complying with the established requirements.
The EAGGF plans to publish a new provisional resolution during the month of July with those new owners of farms that, having not appeared in any of the resolutions so far published, comply with the established requirements, once the autonomous communities have completed the corresponding controls of the CAP 2023 campaign.
