- The Government subdelegate has chaired the follow-up and coordination meeting of the Master Plan
A total of 4305 talks have been given within the framework of the Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Security in Educational Centers and their Environments during the second quarter of the academic year 2023/24, half of them aimed at Secondary and Vocational Training groups.
This is one of the main variations with respect to the first quarter, where the majority was given to Primary groups, and has been one of the points highlighted during the follow-up meeting of the Master Plan that has presided over today the Government’s subdelegate in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad.
The second quarter was also attended by the Government Delegation, responsible for coordinating the Plan, the director of the High Inspection of Education, Ángel Canales, and the head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women, Eva Corrales; together with them, representatives of the National Police, the Civil Guard, the Municipal Police of Madrid, in charge of giving the talks and, also, the General Subdirectorate of Educational Inspection of the Ministry of Education, Science and Universities of the Community of Madrid.
Although the most taught topic is still about the Risks of the Internet and ICT, the talks on Harassment and Cyberbullying are significantly increased. Meanwhile, there is a significant reduction in talks related to Violent Groups and Hate Speeches and Hate Crimes. The weight of the talks on Gender Violence increases slightly recovering the presence it had before the pandemic.
The presentation of lectures in 1011 schools in the first two quarters and at all stages of education, confirms once again the enormous degree of implementation of this Plan. The 1011 centres are spread over 117 towns in Madrid, which also certifies their extensive development throughout the region.
