The Subdelegate of the Government in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad, co-chaired this morning, together with the Mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista Monjón, the Local Security Board of the City Council, in which different aspects related to security in the municipality have been addressed and, in particular, the security device planned for the festivities of May 2 of the city, which will take place between April 30 and May 4, has been supervised.
The meeting was attended by the councillor delegate of Security and Civil Protection, the commissioner of the National Police of Móstoles, the chief commissioner of the Local Police and a representative of the General Directorate of Security, Civil Protection and Environment of the Community of Madrid, as well as municipal representatives and the Civil Guard.
Device coordination for May 2nd party
A total of 900 national police and 803 municipal police will integrate the device that has been coordinated between both police forces to guarantee the security of the 48 events and 133 activities that are planned between April 30 and May 4 in the different venues of the festivities.
The subdelegate of the Government, Pilar Trinidad, has highlighted the coordination between the different police forces for the deployment of this security device.
Low crime rate of the municipality
According to the data presented by the commissioner of the National Police of Móstoles, the crime rate of the municipality in 2023 stands at 41.10 criminal acts per thousand inhabitants, with an increase of 0.73 tenths in relation to that of 2022, which was 40.37.
This rate is 19.1 points lower than the Community of Madrid average, which is 60.2 points, and 10.6 points lower than the national average, which is 51.76 points.
And while conventional crime has grown by 1.1% in 2023 compared to 2022, cybercrime has grown by 9.7%.
Pilar Trinidad has congratulated the security forces and bodies for their work and coordination in achieving this level of security in the municipality of Móstoles.
