At this meeting, the Units have been announced that violet dots will be implanted in all the delegations and subdelegations of the Government. In this way, it will be promoted that the other bodies of the General Administration of the State at the territorial level will in turn have these points in general.
Ana Redondo wanted to start the meeting by showing her gratitude for the role that these Units play in the daily fight against gender violence, since they are responsible for collecting data in case of murder, providing information for crisis committees or monitoring the local policy and activity of different entities. “You are our eyes and ears in the territory,” said the Minister of Equality, who also highlighted the availability and dedication of the staff that make up these Units.
Redondo has highlighted the need and importance of this meeting in the face of the data of gender violence and vicarious violence that are being recorded e2024, with ten women and seven minors killed. The minister has stressed that gender violence is a State issue, and has insisted on the need to combat the denial discourses that distort language or justify violence.

In this regard, the Minister of Equality has announced that a report has been prepared together with Territorial Policy to strengthen the resources and personnel of these Units. Ana Redondo has assured that a specific focus for Human Resources will be included in the reedition of the State Pact against Gender Violence and that it is also continuing with the transfer of one million euros from the Government Delegation against Gender Violence to Territorial Policy for the development of actions.

The Government’s commitment also depends, as Redondo has pointed out, on the work that is already being done in Congress to reissue the State Pact against Gender Violence, the Country Agreement to combat hate speech or to protect minors from pornography.
