The Government delegate in Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre and the subdelegate, Pilar Trinidad, held today a meeting with the mayors and representatives of eight localities in the northern area of Madrid, in their work of representing the Government of Spain in all the municipalities of the region.
The meeting took place in the city of Patones and brought together the mayors and the mayor of Torrelaguna, Víctor José Gutiérrez; Torremocha de Jarama, Carlos Rivera; Patones, Luis Arriazu; the mayor of Redueña, María Mercedes Pérez; El Berrueco, Jaime Sanz; and Venturada, Daniel Álvarez, in addition to representatives of the consistories of Cabanillas de la Sierra and La Cabrera. All of them wanted to thank the heads of the Delegation for visiting the area.
The government delegate wanted to highlight the good security data in the area that are evolving positively with the exception, coinciding with the general dynamic, of the increase in cybercrime.
The main issue addressed was the situation of the post of the Civil Guard of Torrelaguna, which serves the localities and municipal terms of La Cabrera, Redueña, Venturada, Patones, Torrelaguna, Cabanillas de la Sierra, El Berrueco and Torremocha del Jarama. The councillors have asked for improvements to the units of this post in addition to handing him the reports on the possible construction of a new headquarters.
Safety and Emergency Board
Specifically, the mayors have presented to the delegate and the subdelegate the initiative of these peoples to organize a joint security and emergency board with a periodicity of six months and that, as they have explained, already has a draft regulation.
The meeting also talked about other possible services for the area such as a day center or improvements in transport as a tool for the settlement of the population. The delegate has been interested in the development of projects financed in the area through the European Funds.
