The subdelegate of the Government in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, has attended the screening of the short film "Although it's night" that was premiered last Saturday at the Cañada Real in Madrid, where it was shot entirely.
The presentation was made in collaboration with the 16km Film Festival of Cañada Real, organized by the Fundación Voz and directed by Juan Merín Reig. The premiere has been framed in a cultural day developed in Sector 6 of Cañada Real, which seeks to become a meeting space between the neighbors of Cañada and personalities of the world of cinema and culture, and in the so-called Furniture Factory.
The short film, directed by Guillermo García López, aims to contribute to the visibility of the reality of the families of Cañada Real, and the promotion, defense, dissemination of cultural value and improvement of the image of the neighbors and neighbors of the considered largest shanty town in Europe.
The situation of the Cañada Real is one of the main challenges of social justice that the region must face, as the government delegate has repeatedly recalled.
