- All of them are agencies not integrated in the Delegation but with which coordination work is carried out
The Government delegate to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, held today a round of meetings with the heads of several bodies linked to the recognition of economic benefits or assistance not integrated into the Delegation itself but with which coordination work is carried out by their common unit of the General Administration of the State.
The first of the meetings was with the provincial director of the Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) in Madrid, Ricardo Cuesta García. This autonomous body has as its main task the recognition and payment of unemployment benefits and subsidies. Now, in addition, within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, it is financing different training and employment projects, among which is the “First professional experience in public administrations”, in which the Government Delegation participates with around twenty unemployed young people aged 16 to 29 whose training stage has been completed and accredited.
It should also be noted that the SEPE Provincial Delegation in Madrid is the largest number of training and employment programmes in the entire national territory, with a total of 582 recruited to date.
Subsequently, he met with the provincial director of the General Mutuality of Civil Servants of the State (MUFACE), Patricia Gemma Saldaña Figa, a public agency responsible for providing health and social assistance to the group of seconded civil servants, made up of approximately 1.5 million people.
Among the issues dealt with, it has been highlighted the fact that the Provincial Service of Madrid is a pioneer in the implementation of a specific program of telephone care for people over 75 years old to avoid travelling to make arrangements through the use of electronic channels. The unification process has also been addressed in a single headquarters for public attention, mail and registration, in order to improve the quality of the service.
The round of contacts has ended with the provincial director of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) of Madrid, Carmen López Hidalgo, competent for the recognition of the right to Social Security economic benefits of people who have their domicile in the province.
