The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, participated this morning in the meeting “The National Police against Trafficking”, organized by the Provincial Brigade of Foreigners and Borders and the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid.
In the course of the event, and after the welcoming remarks of the Head of the Provincial Brigade of Foreigners and Borders, Jaime Nicolás González, acknowledgements have been given for her daily work in the fight against trafficking in women and girls to María del Pino Armero Ortega, of the Labour Inspectorate of Madrid, and to Cristina Domnescu, mediator of the non-governmental organization APRAMP, an association of integral assistance to women and girls who suffer trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Awards have also been given to non-governmental organizations fighting human trafficking, such as the Amar Dragoste association, the Diaconía Foundation, Fiet Gratia and the Esperanza Project.
Among the public institutions, the work of the Directorate of the Territorial Labour Inspectorate, the Office of the Deputy Prosecutor for Aliens and Trafficking and the Government Delegation to the Community of Madrid have been recognized in the fight against trafficking.
The government delegate, Francisco Martín, has presented the recognitions to Pablo Izquierdo Ranea, director of the Work and Immigration Area of the Government Delegation, and to Eva Corrales Melero, head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women, of the Delegation itself.
The event concluded with a few words from Madrid’s Chief Constable, Manuel Soto Seoane.
