- The crime rate of the municipality remains at levels similar to those of other localities like Majadahonda
- He highlighted the good coordination between the Security Forces, evidenced once again in the preparation of the device for the patron saint's parties
The government delegate to the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, today chaired together with the mayor of Pinto, Diego Ortiz, an extraordinary Local Security Board, in which he stressed that the municipality “develops very positively in terms of security” in view of the crime data that have been recorded in 2022 and that continue the downward trend in the first months of 2023.
Thus, in the year 2022, with respect to 2019, there was a drop in conventional crime by 4.8% of all criminal offenses; especially noteworthy in the case of robberies with violence or intimidation, with a decrease of 34%, and robberies with force in homes, establishments and other facilities, with a drop of 18.5%. This downward trend continues in 2023, compared to 2022, with a reduction in conventional crime of 13.49% (-5.39% in criminal offences against property).
In the light of these data, Francisco Martín has pointed out that, in recent years, Pinto has reduced its crime rate to levels similar to those of other localities such as Majadahonda, and has highlighted the contribution made to this by the Civil Guard and Local Police, with the collaboration of the City Council.
This coordination, which he has described as “very good”, hopes that it will be maintained in view of the local patron saint’s festivities, which begin today, and for which a special security device has been organized that will have “professionals who will guarantee citizen security and will have the necessary reinforcements to comply with the objectives set”.
Finally, he thanked the City of Pinto for renewing the VioGén agreement, a system of protection for women, which, with the help of the Local Police, “is much more effective and manages to maximize public resources at the service of the citizens.”
