The delegate of the Government in the Community of Madrid, Mercedes González, presided this morning the session of constitution of the Local Security Board of the municipality of Valdilecha in Madrid. It has been attended by the government team with its mayor, José Javier López González, at the head; the lieutenant colonel of the Madrid Civil Guard Command, Carlos Alonso, and the head of the Local Police, Eduardo Aguado.
After the incorporation session, the first regular meeting of the Local Security Board was held, at which the data on the security in the municipality and its crime rate were made known.
In this regard, Mercedes González has affirmed that the security of the municipality has improved noticeably in 2022 compared to 2021: “The data conclude that Valdilecha is a safe municipality.” And he has gone on to break down some data about it.

In 2022, the crime rate in Valdilecha fell by 5.48 points: from 39.95 in 2021 to 34.47 in 2023, which puts it almost 25 points below the average crime rate in the Community of Madrid: 58.8.
The delegate has highlighted as a factor that will result in security the recent approval of the association of the municipalities of Valdilecha with Tielmes and Perales de Tajuña to provide Local Police services, after the favorable report of the Government Delegation and the authorization of the Secretary of State for Security.
He also recalled that the local security boards “are not only the operational coordinating bodies, but also informative, facilitating channels of channeling that allow the social and institutional sectors affected to collaborate in the correct planning of public security, which results in a greater rapprochement between society and the Security Forces and Corps.”
