The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma), has concluded, in the amount of 12,335,067 euros (VAT included), a contract for the execution of various conservation and exploitation operations on state roads in La Rioja. The duration of the contract is 3 years, with the possibility of extension for another 2 years, and is part of the program of conservation and exploitation of roads of Mitma, which allows to maintain the road in the State Road Network so that it is accessible in suitable conditions for all citizens.
The indicated sector is No. 1, which includes several sections of the roads LO-20, A-12, A-13, N-120, N-120A, N-124, N-126, N-232 and N-232A, totaling 166.4 km, of which more than 60 are motorways. Specific projects In addition, some contracts incorporate specific projects of small works necessary to improve the functionality of the track. Specifically, the following are included in this contract:
• Maintenance actions to improve road safety in terms of containment systems and adaptation to current regulations of existing containment systems on the A-12 motorway, km 98 to 131.
• Repair of the Cenicero bridge, N-232, km 428,350. Orientative sketch, subject to possible variations.
The new model of service contracts for the execution of conservation and exploitation operations in the State Road Network aims to offer a comprehensive service of mobility to the user, improve the state of the road and network, and optimize public resources.
Through them, works are carried out to help the roads and ordinary conservation of the roads, to allow the road and its functional elements to have the best possible road and safety conditions, including actions such as: monitoring and attention of accidents and incidents, winter road, service of control of tunnels and communications, maintenance of facilities, establishment of inventories and recognition of the state of the road, agenda of information of status and programming, assistance to exploitation and road safety studies, and maintenance of the road elements with adequate levels of quality. This new model reinforces the orientation towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to which Mitma is committed.
