The president of Congalsa, Luis Miguel Simarro, and the head of External Relations, Ana Garrido, received this morning at the company’s facilities the subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas López, in the framework of an institutional visit that highlights the role of the marine transformation industry in the Galician economy and its ability to lead processes of innovation and sustainable growth.
During the meeting, the subdelegate signed in the company’s honor book and held a working meeting with the management team in which strategic issues for the development of the sector were addressed, as well as the positive impact that the Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) are having on the Galician industrial ecosystem.

For her part, María Rivas highlighted the role of Congalsa as an example of how the Galician food industry can grow from innovation, sustainability and public-private cooperation. “Visiting Congalsa is seeing how Galicia can lead transformation processes that project the best of our land to the outside: quality, tradition, innovation and social commitment,” said the deputy delegate.
In his speech, Rivas also stressed the support of the Government of Spain through the PERTE and other lines of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which are allowing many companies such as Congalsa to improve their competitiveness, profitability and sustainability. “This aid represents a firm commitment of the Government to strengthen the industrial fabric, facilitating the incorporation of advanced technologies, promoting innovation and supporting projects that guarantee sustainable economic development and a positive impact on local employment,” explained the deputy delegate.
