The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, on Thursday encouraged the citizens to attend the International Theater Show of Ribadavia because it is "an initiative that achieves a freer and more prosperous society". He said so during the presentation of the 41st edition of this event, which will be held from July 18 to 26, 2025.
In his speech, Eladio Santos said that the Ministry of Culture, through the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), financially supports this initiative year after year. "With its contribution, the Government of Spain defends the freedom of creation and takes care of our cultural identity, because without culture there is no future," he said.
Santos recalled that the Government has at the disposal of the Ourensanos born in 2007 the Young Cultural Bonus of 2025, which can be requested until October 31. The beneficiaries will have a prepaid card with 400 euros that can be used for cultural products and also for performing arts. "This initiative aims to awaken the interest of new people in culture and also offer support to the cultural sector," he said.
He also erected the MIT as an "example of commitment to the rural", since its satellite cycle brings shows to villages such as San Cristovo, Sampaio, Santo André or Francelos. "A commitment to fundamental decentralization to combat depopulation and keep rural areas alive," said the deputy delegate.
