The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Eladio Santos, celebrated on Wednesday that the new Regulation on Foreigners, which entered into force on May 20, reduces administrative procedures to reside and work in Spain and seeks to guarantee the rights and freedoms of migrants. He did so during the presentation of a day on the reform of the Rede Emprega-Nós de Ourense.
After the inauguration, in the Public Library of Ourense Nós, the head of the Office of Foreigners of the Subdelegation of the Government, Josefina Rodríguez Durán, gave an informative presentation on the changes brought by the new Regulation, before members of the Rede Emprega-Nós, formed by technical staff of 18 entities of the third sector.
To those present, the subdelegate went to thank them for the work they do for people in vulnerable situations. "Those who care for immigrants must know that this regulation guarantees the legal security of these people through three axes: family, work and training," he said.
He also thanked the officials of the Office of Foreign Affairs of the Government Subdelegation, "who are adapting to the standard with professionalism and rigor." "Their work, with 100% of applications resolved, makes it possible for foreign people to come to our country to live with dignity and work legally," he said.
In addition, Eladio Santos explained that the reform aims to adapt the regulations to the current migratory situation. "It seeks to respond to the needs of immigrants, to the demographic situation of our province and to the current labor market," he said.
