Eladio Santos, deputy delegate of the Government in Ourense, received on Wednesday the attendees of the guided visit by the Subdelegation of the Government, carried out "to bring the work of the Administration closer to the citizens". He said this during the day of open doors, attended by members of social and neighborhood entities of the city of Ourense, on the occasion of Open Administration Week 2025.
When visitors arrived, Santos explained that Open Administration Week aims to bring institutions closer to citizens and foster transparency and participation. "During the visit, we can see how we work from the Subdelegation to ensure the coordination and development of government policies in the province of Ourense, always at the service of the citizens," he stressed.
Accompanied by the Secretary General of the Government Subdelegation, Manuel Arias, the attendees first met the ground floor, where the Aliens Office, the Registry, the Sanctions Department and the Personnel Department are located. They then went to the third floor, where the Unit against Violence against Women, Civil Protection, Territorial Administration, Computer Science and Authorizations are located. The visit ended on the first floor, where there is the State Attorney’s Office, the General Secretariat, the office of the subdelegate and the Throne Room. The heads of the different units explained to the participants the work done by public employees and employees on a daily basis.
The visit ended with two informative talks in the training room. One was given by the head of the Aliens Office, Josefina Rodríguez, and dealt with the main novelties of the new Aliens Regulation, which entered into force yesterday. The second, offered by the provincial head of Telecommunications, Enrique San Martín, addressed the UNICO Rural Demand satellite broadband extension program.
Open Gov Week is an initiative promoted worldwide by the Open Gov Week, which aims to organize events that bring Public Administrations closer to citizens.
