The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today pointed out the commitment of the Government of Spain to the economic independence of women and the fight against all types of male violence, on the occasion of a talk organized in the Subdelegation on the prevention of economic violence.
Isabel Rodríguez spoke with the delegate of the Tax Agency in Lugo, Elena Rosendo, who addressed the risks of financial control for women and analyzed its effects in the fiscal field.
“Among the many manifestations of gender-based violence, economic violence is often invisible and therefore poorly researched,” explained the deputy delegate, stressing that “depriving women of the resources necessary for their physical or psychological well-being is violence.”
In the absence of the presentation, the predominant risks for female victims were presented, grouped into three categories: IRPF, collection phase and electronic identification processes.
The session was part of the activities organized by the Government Subdelegation in Lugo on the occasion of the Open Administration Week, which will also have two open days that will take place on Tuesday and Friday.
The subdelegate stressed the Government’s objective of strengthening the administration with tools that help prevent and meet the needs of women victims of all types of violence in order to move firmly to achieve real and effective equality between women and men.
