The Government’s deputy delegate in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, highlighted this morning in Vilalba the Government’s support for the business fabric through a new call for aid from the Instituto de Transition Justa. The Casa de la Cultura in the capital of Chairega hosted an information day aimed at businesswomen and entrepreneurs in the region in order to learn about this aid for the promotion of projects that generate and maintain employment in the areas affected by the closure of carbon-intensive facilities.
The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, and the Mayor of Vilalba, Marta Ronco, were in charge of inaugurating the event, which had the technical recital of Nuria Álvarez, agent of the territory for the fair transition zones in Galicia, and Rosa María Vázquez, consultant of the Technical Company of Fisheries Packaging Tep, S.A., who shared the experience of a project supported in the previous call.
In her speech, Isabel Rodríguez stressed that “today we talk about real and transformative opportunities for our province” and stressed that the Government is putting in place instruments that allow us to move towards a more sustainable economy “without leaving anyone behind”. He recalled that, since 2019, more than 120 million euros were invested in the fair transition areas of Galicia, with about 400 estimated jobs.
During the day, two lines of aid for this 2025 were explained: on the one hand, PPEE aid for job-creating business projects; and on the other, the MINIMIS line, focused on small investment projects. Both are regulated by orders TED/1240/2022 and TED/1239/2022, respectively.

The subdelegate highlighted other examples of aid that had a positive impact on the city, such as that of the Vilalbesa company Estudios Rafer, which awarded a large part of the training promoted by the Institute for the Just Transition, or the impact of the cultural program Dinamiz-ARTj, which “also contributes to creating employment and social cohesion.”
Finally, Rodríguez encouraged entrepreneurs to participate in these calls and take advantage of this opportunity to “diversify the productive fabric and ensure that our municipalities have a future.”
