The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, has noted today in Cerceda how the Government’s Recovery Plan is promoting localities “more friendly and with better quality of life for its population”. It did so during the tour of the new pedestrian and cycling path that runs the City of Cerceda next to the AC-400 road with help from the Recovery Plan.
Pedro Blanco supervised the final phase of this action together with the mayor of Cerceda, José Manuel Rodríguez, whom he congratulated for the management that allowed this City to benefit from an aid that exceeds 80% of the total investment. In this case, through the DUS-5000 program, managed by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge through the public agency IDAE. The delegate said that this program, which enables small municipalities to implement clean energy and sustainable mobility projects, and the new path exemplify “the municipal commitment of this government, which listens and responds to the Galician municipalities.”
The Government Recovery Plan provides the City of Cerceda 623,204 euros for the execution of this new path, which connects the parishes of Xermar and Ribasoutas. The new road prolongs the road that already existed, allowing the creation of a pedestrian and cyclist route segregated from the AC-400 road. It has a length of 1.8 km on the left margin, with a width of 2.02 meters.
During the tour, the delegate confirmed that “the action of the Government reaches each of the places of the country” and highlighted the Government’s commitment to the region of Cerceda and its future, as a city council member of the Just Transition area of Meirama. This circumstance, explained Pedro Blanco, has allowed Cerceda to benefit directly and indirectly from various calls from the Government for industrial, municipal or infrastructure improvement projects, exceeding 40 million euros of state investment.
