The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, today presided over the security board in which the device in charge of ensuring the security of the football match of the Hypermotion League that next Saturday, March 29, will face the Racing Club of Ferrol and the Real Club Deportivo de A Coruña, declared of high risk by the Permanent Commission delegated of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport, in which she called to enjoy the derby “with respect and always complying the rules to guarantee the security of this province.”
At the meeting, in which representatives of both clubs, the National Police and the Local Police of Ferrol participated, the subdelegate highlighted the effort of the Government to ensure, through the State Security Forces and Bodies, the proper development of the sporting events and competitions that take place in the province.
María Rivas stressed the need for both hobbies “to be respectful of the instructions of the staff who will take care of the security of the meeting”. With this respect, the subdelegate indicated that there will be a reinforcement of troops from both the National Police and the Local Police, with more means available to attend to the surrounding countryside and different points of the city, while the club will increase the number of private security forces for surveillance and access control, which will open an hour and a half before the game begins.
In the same line, he reported that the security device will be active from 10:00 p.m. this Friday and will extend beyond the end of the meeting. The operation of the National Police will have about one hundred agents of the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) who will have the support of 30 agents of the Police Station of Ferrol, the Local Police and a drone to protect the areas in which both hobbies are concentrated.
