The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, today presided over the security board in which the device responsible for ensuring security was finalized in the 29th edition of the Rally de A Coruña. In it, he called for “to comply with the rules and to respect the signs and indications of the staff so that people can enjoy this show with the maximum guarantees of safety.”
At the meeting, in which participants were responsible for the organization of the event, as well as the Civil Guard, Traffic Subsector, National Police, Provincial Traffic Headquarters, local police and representatives of the Xunta and the municipalities through which the event will take place, the subdelegate highlighted the Government’s effort to ensure, through the State Security Forces and Bodies, the proper development of the sporting events and competitions taking place in the province.
María Rivas stressed the need for both the participating runners and especially all the public who will gather to witness the passage of the Rally on the roads of the province, “to be respectful of the signage and indications of the staff who will take care of the safety of the test and, in the case of the spectators, to always stay within the spaces delimited for them.”
The deputy delegate took the opportunity to congratulate the One Seven team for the 10 years it has been organizing this event, in which a total of 102 drivers will participate, among them three with World Rally Car vehicles, certified for the World Rally Car.
The event, which will be held on 21 and 22 March, is part of the Galician rally championship, with A Coruña being one of the most unique events due to its spectacular start from the Plaza de María Pita. In this 29th edition, the race will cover the roads of seven municipalities in the province: A Coruña, Aranga, A Laracha, Cerceda, Culleredo and Oza-Cesuras.
