The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, pointed out that the granting of a new loan to the Concello de Miño to face the debt generated by the so-called 'Fadesa Case' in the municipal coffers "is an example of the commitment of this Government with the concellos, especially with those who have more difficulties".
The deputy delegate was in charge of announcing, together with the mayor, Manuel Vázquez Faraldo, the granting of a new loan to the concello coruñés worth one million euros, which will allow him to face the judicial sentences for the expropriation of land from the Costa Miño urbanization for more than 20 years. In addition, he said, “payment facilities allow the Council to maintain public services without risking the economic stability that this corporation achieved and without compromising the investments that are already underway.”
Rivas, who reported that this loan is the fourth granted to the Concello by the Ministry of Finance and raises the amount granted to 21.5 million euros, indicated that Miño has to liquidate it in 2050. “It is a necessary measure to fulfill both the legal duties and the commitment made with the neighbors of Miño,” added the subdelegate.
In this regard, he recalled that the Government is betting like no other because the money reaches every corner. “Only with the Recovery Plan, the Government of Pedro Sánchez is bringing investments to each and every one of the municipalities of the province, allowing actions that otherwise the municipal entities would not be able to face,” he exemplified.
