The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, highlighted the government’s drive to digitize Galician companies, with more than 16 million euros for training managers and employed people. It did so in the presentation of the third edition of the program ‘Digital Generation SMEs’, financed with funds from the Government Recovery Plan, together with the president of EF Business School and CESUGA, Venancio Salcines, and the general director of the Aragonese San Valero Group, César Romero, who jointly teach this training, and which was also attended by the Government’s subdelegate in A Coruña, María Rivas.
At the event, the delegate explained that these companies have planned to train 4,500 people until June 2026. In Galicia there are six beneficiary entities (CESUGA, EF Business School, Rafer Studies, Business Jump and Academia Postal 3) that, as a novelty in this edition, will provide online training throughout the national territory.
Pedro Blanco took the opportunity to recognize the work carried out by these companies “key to improving the productivity of the Galician business fabric and its possibilities for growth and internationalization”.
In this line, he highlighted the “determined commitment” of the Government to promote the training and digital transformation of companies in the hand of the Recovery Plan, “of which companies are the main protagonists, as demonstrated by the fact that eight out of ten euros of the more than 3.7 billion euros allocated to Galicia go to autonomous companies, SMEs and large companies.”
“Companies know that they have in the Government their best ally to grow and advance in that transformation a more digital and sustainable model,” said the delegate, who also valued initiatives such as the Digital Kit, which like the program ‘Digital Generation SMEs’ is part of the Spain Digital 2026 strategy, and which leaves in Galicia more than 35,200 grants, with an investment that exceeds 145 million euros.
Finally, the delegate encouraged the management teams and the workers of the Galician companies not to miss this opportunity to expand competences in this matter with the aim of having companies better prepared to face the challenges of an increasingly digital future.
