The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, today conveyed his deepest sympathy and affection to the families affected by the consequences of the devastating DANA that hit the southeast and other parts of the country. He did so during the minute of silence that was kept this morning at the doors of the Government Delegation in mourning for the victims of this tragedy.
The event was attended by the deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas; the president of Portos del Estado, Álvaro Rodríguez Dapena; the president of the Diputación, Valentín González Formoso; the president of the Superior Court of Xustiza de Galicia, and the territorial delegate of the Xunta in A Coruña, Belén do Campo, as well as workers of the Government Delegation, members of the State security forces and bodies and other authorities.
The delegate took the opportunity to transfer from Galicia all the solidarity and support to the territories affected by this tragedy, as well as all the necessary collaboration in these hard times for all.
In the same vein, he thanked the administrations, emergency services and volunteers for the effort and work they are doing to return normality to the area as soon as possible and pointed out that the gestures of altruism, empathy and solidarity of these days will make us emerge stronger and more united from this tragedy.
The Government decreed three days of official mourning throughout Spain for the consequences of the DAÑA that affected the southeast and other parts of the country and caused the death of at least 95 people. The mourning will continue until November 2, second is recorded today in the BOE.
