The deputy delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, highlighted this morning the firm commitment of the Government with the digital transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during a meeting with leaders of the Lucense company Rafer, adjudicator of the aid program of the second call “Digital Generation SMEs” of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism. These actions are part of the Government’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, aimed at promoting the modernization of the business fabric and increasing the competitiveness of SMEs throughout the national territory.
During the meeting, Rodríguez stressed the importance of the new call for grants, which will allow 350 people to receive training “on fundamental issues such as cybersecurity, electronic invoicing, process automation or access to grants.” This training is aimed at both self-employed and self-employed workers and SME workers who need to update or develop skills in digitalization, in order to improve the performance of their companies.
“The government is committed to providing the business fabric with the tools to adapt to the digital environment. This program will not only increase digital skills, but will also contribute to improving the productivity and competitiveness of companies, boosting their growth and ability to compete in international markets,” said Rodríguez.
With this new call, special attention will be paid to rural people “when capturing interested students in order to facilitate processes, for example, in the sector of agriculture and livestock when updating the obligatory digital notebook”. Both the sub-delegate and the awarding company recalled that these training courses are #free and can be adapted to the specific needs of each SME.
