The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, called on Galician companies in the agri-food sector to participate in the second edition of PERTE Agro, endowed with 100 million euros in aid from the Ministry of Industry. The deadline will open on October 3 and will close on November 4, 2024.
Pedro Blanco stressed that in this new call for the PERTE Agro “special emphasis was placed on the interest of small and medium-sized companies, reducing the investment necessary to access subsidies, which will facilitate that more companies in Galicia can receive aid from the Government”.
The delegate highlighted the impact in Galicia of the first resolution of this PERTE, corresponding to one of the lines managed by the Ministry of Industry, which includes four projects with Galician companies that add 54 million euros in aid. “We want to continue transforming our productive fabric with the Recovery Plan, reaching as many companies as possible to strengthen their competitiveness and profitability,” he added.
Specifically, one of the beneficiary projects is entirely Galician, SMARTZ4MILK, which seeks to improve the traceability of milk and of which 8 companies are part; Graperte, promoted by the Spanish Federation of the Vineyard with 19 companies, among which are three Galician wineries; FG2H-From green to healthy, in which the Galician CEAMSA and Rotogal of a total of 25 companies participate, and AccelerEAT, which is in which the Galician Innolact and Hifas da Terra join 16 other companies.
News in this second edition
The Ministry of Industry and Tourism published on August 22 a Order of Bases and the call for the second edition of the Agri-food PERTE endowed with 100 million euros in subsidies, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. This amount must be added to another 200 million euros in loans from the addendum.
This second PERTE Agro will have three lines of action. A new line of direct support for investments in equipment for SMEs and two more: one dedicated to research, development and innovation and another to innovation in sustainability and energy efficiency.
The projects that are presented, in addition to being in one of these lines, must be placed at least in one of the following thematic priorities: circular economy and eco-innovation; decarbonisation, energy efficiency, new renewable energy sources and reduction of polluting emissions; advanced materials and products; innovation in quality and safety processes and/or projects based on digital technologies.
