The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, today encouraged the management and team leaders of the SMEs of Galicia to take advantage of the training opportunity offered by the Government Recovery Plan to advance in the digital transformation of their companies. It did so during the opening of the new course that, within the framework of the ‘Digital Generation SMEs’ Program, CESUGA develops, and which benefits 70 managers and directors of Galician companies from 10 to 249 employees.
María Rivas recalled that the Government allocates 3.4 million euros to enable the training of 1,300 directors of SMEs in Galicia until 2025. To materialize this investment, he selected the business school EF Business School (EFBS Educational Group) and CESUGA (Centre of Higher University Studies of Galicia) as main partners to deliver the training program in Galicia.
The subdelegate detailed that “Digital Generation SMEs” aims to promote the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises in such a way that “not only promotes and consolidates the talent of our people and our professionals, but also contributes to improve the growth, productivity and internationalization possibilities of small and medium-sized enterprises, which are the basis that sustains our economy.”
María Rivas pointed out that this program is one of the examples of the government’s commitment to digitization, which translates into initiatives such as the Digital Kit or the programs of extension of broadband and 5G in the territory. This respect, he stressed that “there are more than 27,000 Galician companies that are taking advantage of government funds to advance their digitization 112 million euros in digitization bonds for small and medium-sized companies in Galicia.”
The subdelegate reiterated the Government’s commitment to public-private collaboration in the transformation of the economy: “We are on the side of companies, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs, and we put the investments that are needed to improve their competitiveness on the table.”
Course ‘Digital Transformation SMEs’
The course that begins today is valued at 14,000 euros, which is 100% funded by the Government. The training is hybrid (it combines face-to-face classes with online sessions in real time) and with practical and personalized content, with tutorials and specific sessions with success stories. It is taught by teachers who are experts in active in the field of digital transformation and it is not necessary to have previous knowledge of digital culture (in fact, the profile is directed precisely).
