The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, highlighted in Vimianzo the opportunity that the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) represents for the Galician agro-livestock sector as a dynamizer of its modernization. He took advantage of his visit to the Os Loureiros livestock farm to do so, where some 300 professionals from the sector met to inaugurate the new facilities of this company. Along with the delegate, they attended the visit to the mayor of Vimianzo, Mónica Rodríguez; the councillor of Rural Environment of the Xunta de Galicia, María José Gómez; the subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, and the president of the Lence Group, Carmen Lence.

The delegate stressed the importance of the sector within the Galician economy, as well as the involvement of the Government so that this remains the case. “We are working day after day and relentlessly on such useful actions as simplifying the CAP, strengthening the implementation of the chain law or supporting animal health,” said the delegate.
Pedro Blanco took advantage of the visit to encourage the livestock entrepreneurs who met in Vimianzo not to miss the “unique opportunity” represented by the new aid of PERTE Campo, which can be requested from 19 September , worth 100 million euros, and to which will soon be added another 200 million of the addendum in the form of loans “to transform our economy into a more innovative, efficient, digital and sustainable model”. In its first phase, PERTE Campo contributed 54 million euros to the projects in which Galician firms participate.
“The projects promoted by PERTE Campo make it possible to transform the Galician industry, bet on products with greater added value and consolidate the productive fabric in rural areas,” said the delegate. Along the same lines, he added that “they are another example of the Government’s Recovery Plan funds reaching each and every one of the Galician municipalities, with investments called to improve people’s lives and to transform the economy of the country and rural areas, something in which the primary sector is a key piece for its tradition, roots and history in Galicia”.
