The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, stressed in A Pontenova the important footprint that the projects of conditioning and improving the energy efficiency of public buildings for which the Government allocated 27.3 million euros through the PIREP Program are leaving in the concellos. Pedro Blanco highlighted the effort to comply with the execution deadlines and announced that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda will allow the concellos beneficiaries of the program to request before 30 September an extension of the justification period for Line 1 subsidies.
The government delegate explained this news in a visit to the town hall of A Pontenova accompanied by the mayor, Darío Campos, where he supervised the works of energy rehabilitation and interior conditioning of the municipal offices, “a project to which more than 300,000 euros were awarded.” “We see that small rural concellos are taking advantage of these funds to improve their facilities and provide a better service to citizens, thanks to the initiative of their mayors and mayors to look for financing methods that will positively benefit their people,” said the delegate.
Pedro Blanco explained that “we are aware of the difficulties that some concellos are going through to comply with the completion of the works,” clarifying that “the will of the Government is to facilitate the work and solve problems, so the Ministry will attend to each situation individually and study case by case, provided that motivated requests are made for this extension of the deadlines.”
The delegate concluded by highlighting the government’s commitment to municipalism, “which will allow the conditioning and improvement of energy efficiency in buildings of 33 Galician concellos through the local PIREP program of the Recovery Plan.”
PIREP A Pontenova
The performances being carried out by the Pirep in A Pontenova are progressing at a good pace, with the improvement of the thermal insulation of the façade with a rigid panel of expanded polystyrene. In addition, the renovation of the exterior carpentry will be undertaken, the replacement of the existing luminaires of all the plants by low-consumption LED lamps, the installation of a new boiler for heating, as well as the repainting of all the rooms and renovation of the basins and the exterior gutters.
These works will help improve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, ensuring the reduction of more than 35% of non-renewable primary energy consumption, accessibility, habitability and conservation of this municipal public building.
