The Deputy Government Delegate in A Coruña, invites the citizens to register for the theatrical visits that had been made at the headquarters of the Government Subdelegation, on June 11 and 12 on the occasion of the Open Administration Week.
After the welcome of the visits launched last year, the Government’s sub-delegation reopens its doors for two afternoons so that the main offices can be visited.
The visits will be directed by Suso Martínez, historian, populariser and tourist guide actor, a reference in the realization of theatrical guided tours, embodying a character, between real and fictitious, with which he will narrate the large and small stories related to the development of the building that was thirsty of the Customs, the Civil Government and today of the subdelegation of Government.
The visit will refer to the history of the building that was built in the eighteenth century to serve as the headquarters of the Customs, since in 1947 it was rehabilitated as a thirst of the Civil Government of A Coruña, and currently hosts the subdelegation of the Government.
During the visit you will be able to see the first floor, where the official offices of the subdelegate of the Government, María Rivas and the Deputy Secretary of the Delegation of him Government in Galicia, Eva Vázquez, are located, as well as meeting room. Already on the second floor you can visit several rooms that make up the former residence of the Civil Governors with their furniture.
Within the spaces that are going to be able to be visited, different outstanding pieces are preserved such as the armchair of the former civil governors of the early twentieth century, the dispatch tables, the table that was used for the “councillors” of ministers held by Arias Navarro in A Coruña in 1974 and 1975 before the councils of ministers held in Mearas and part of the official dining room of the civil governors.
Open Gov Week (OGW) is an initiative promoted by the Open Gov Week worldwide that aims to disseminate its principles and practices to create a culture, shared by public administrations and citizens, based on the values of transparency and integrity, civic participation and promotion of fundamental rights, as well as accountability.
Spain has been a member of the Open Government Alliance since 2011, and since then participated in the organization and celebration of six editions, in which it revalidated its leadership among the member States of the Alliance in the organization of activities to promote the culture of open government.
Objective
Open Government Week aims to organize events to bring Public Administrations closer to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.
In 2024, the celebration of Open Administration Week was set to take place from June 10 to 16 .
