The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, valued the good pace of the rehabilitation works of the House of Culture of Antas de Ulla, which are financed by the Local PIREP, within the Recovery Plan, of the Ministry of Transport. Pedro Blanco traveled to this concello to supervise the progress of the works accompanied by the mayor, Pilar García Porto, and the subdelegate in the province, Isabel Rodríguez.
The delegate verified in situ the new distribution of the spaces, highlighting the accessibility of the building, as well as the improvement of the insulation “which will result in significant energy savings both for the municipal coffers and for the objective we pursue of environmental sustainability.” In this sense, he stressed the municipalist nature of the program, “which allows the conditioning of public buildings in small municipalities of the Galician rural like Antas de Ulla through funds of the Government Recovery Plan”.
Pedro Blanco conveyed to the councilor the importance of interinstitutional collaboration, thanking her for her work to speed up the start of the works that will turn this cultural space “into a multi-purpose place that will function as a rehearsal venue for associations, concert hall and library”. Fiadeira, the theater group, La Coral and the Music School of the Band of Music of Antas currently use these facilities.
