The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, highlighted the role of the Master Plan of Education as a “very powerful tool” to improve the response of youth and their families to threats such as cyberbullying, violence against women or additions, among others.
It did so at the closing of the III Training Day on the “Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Security in Educational Centers and their Environments”, the operational program of the Ministry of the Interior aimed at guaranteeing and promoting the culture of security in the school population.
This day, organized by the Education Area of the Government Delegation, gathered today in the Pazo de Mariñán (Bergondo) more than 75 people representatives of the school community of Galicia and the State Security Forces to analyze the challenges of coexistence and security in the educational centers of Galicia.
María Rivas thanked all of them for their participation in this day and encouraged them to continue working to identify ways to reach families and to rethink the contents to adapt them to new needs. In this regard, he pointed out that education “is the way to achieve a fair, free and safe society for all, but above all for our sons and daughters.”
