The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, reported today that the province of A Coruña is a pioneer in allowing people who are examined from the theoretical part of the driving license (except in the case of dangerous goods and the recovery of the license due to loss of validity) to know their notes in record time. As explained, since March 14, it is offered the possibility to register at cl@ve at the same time of taking the exam to download the MiDGT application and consult in it the results. “This way, people can know the results in just one hour, without waiting at 18:00 that usually takes time to be published on the DGT website,” said Rivas.
The deputy delegate also stressed that, in addition to processing the registration in cl@ve at the time of the exam, the citizens who want to obtain the identifier to be able to carry out procedures with the Administration through telematics, the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of A Coruña also allows to request the registration in permanent cl@ve without prior appointment in its offices, “one more sample of the constant commitment of the Administration to facilitate the citizens to carry out procedures through the internet”.
The Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Bilbao and Zaragoza were the first to offer these services approximately two months ago. Since then, they have registered in cl@ve more than 1,000 people who can interact with the Administration telematically to carry out their personal actions with the same guarantees that were made in person. The provincial headquarters of Madrid, Barcelona, Valladolid, Seville, Valencia, A Coruña, Las Palmas and Oviedo joined them on March 14. In the rest of the provinces it will be carried out progressively.
MiDGT application
The subdelegate stressed that, together with the new functionality to consult the notes of the theoretical exam, the MiDGT application also allows that, once the practical tests have been passed, students can also have the provisional driving license on their mobile without having to wait for it in physical format. This digital document will have the same validity as the physical, but only in national territory.
Since its launch, in March 2020, the MiDGT app has seen its functionalities increased, “preventing citizens from having to travel to traffic headquarters to carry out procedures,” said Rivas.
