The Government Delegation has the competence in matters of security in electoral processes. Its functions include ensuring citizen security in the exercise of rights and freedoms on the day of the vote; the surveillance and protection of critical infrastructures, as well as the cybersecurity of the entire process and devices of the electoral colleges and their vicinity, and the coordination of the State Security Forces with the autonomous and local bodies.
The device, which will be operational from the first hour of the morning until the vote count is made public, will ensure that the election day decorates without incidents in the 2,346 polling stations distributed throughout the community.
