The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, went today to the CEIP Manuel Mallo Mallo to collaborate with the National Police in the delivery of Cyberexpert cards to the schoolgirls of the province. The subdelegate thanked the schools for their interest in requesting these activities belonging to the Master Plan.
The deputy delegate, accompanied by the chief provincial commissioner, Luis Romera, the trainer of the Master Plan of the National Police, Rubén Darío Veiga, and the director of the center, María Teresa de Juan Leérmela, made the delivery of 19 cards to boys and girls of 6th grade. The subdelegate congratulated these schoolchildren for their efforts to acquire knowledge in the field of education in the technological field.
Isabel Rodríguez stressed that “with this program, the students of the province will be more prepared to face the risks of the internet and will know how to proceed and act in the face of a threat on the network. We also emphasize the effort made by the center to allow this action, which will allow them to have a more prepared student body, reducing risk behaviors and all the consequences that may arise from them.”
Thus, the subdelegate put the courage at will of the National Police body to bring its work closer to all sectors of society and “provide people with tools to face situations of risk.”
Cyber Expert Cards
This activity is part of the National Police Master Plan, which serves as an educational tool for the school environment. With this school, there are already 70 students from all over the province who received their cyber-expert card in this course 2023/2024. The forecast is that this year the number of last year will be exceeded, going to deliver more than 340 cards in schools throughout the province.
