The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, presided this morning together with the provincial chief commissioner of the National Police, Luis Miguel Romera, the raising of the flag for the 200th anniversary of the creation of the National Police in an act that brought together numerous public representatives and members of the body.
The subdelegate thanked these 200 years of service in which the protection of citizens always had a fundamental role, as well as the work and effort that is being carried out in recent times to adapt and give an effective response to new scams and crimes that occurred on the Internet with the increase and proliferation of new virtual platforms.
“I appreciate all the service you provide to the citizens, as well as your encouragement to continue guaranteeing the protection of the city, the province and, ultimately, of all Lucenses. That is why I believe that this body perfectly exemplifies the vocation of public service over these 200 years, which is said soon.”
Isabel Rodríguez highlighted the honor of being in charge of checking the results of so many years of service, personified in qualified and high-value agents to carry out operations and actions with the greatest diligence, always putting collective interests first.
“The National Police must feel very proud to achieve the bicentenary of its creation, a formation highly valued throughout the country, knowing how to evolve and adapt to the challenges of each era, and ensuring the safety and well-being of each and every citizen.”
