The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, valued the 3.4 million euros that the government allocates to train 1,300 Galician directives and directors in digital skills until 2025. He did it during the presentation of the program ‘Digital Generation SMEs’ at the business school EF Business School in Oleiros, which is one of the centers that is responsible for this training in Galicia.
The delegate, who was accompanied at the event by the deputy delegate of the Government, María Rivas, stressed that the Government of Pedro Sánchez is investing more than 100 million euros in Galicia through the Recovery Plan to favor the digital transformation of its companies, money that has already benefited more than 25,000 signatures in the community, about 8,000 of them in the province of A Coruña.
In this line, he affirmed that the Government of Pedro Sánchez “is the best ally of Galician companies”. Proof of this are initiatives such as this, implemented in Galicia by the private university CESUGA and the finance school EF Business School, to which the Government injects 3.4 million euros. “This government continues to help companies and entrepreneurs, which also contributes to the transformation of our economy and our production model; another example of how much can be done with public-private collaboration,” said the delegate.
The Venancio Salcines Foundation (FVS), which is behind the two institutions that provide training, has just signed an agreement with the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Lugo (CEL) to promote this government program. In this respect, Pedro Blanco encouraged Coruña and Galician companies not to miss this unique opportunity, and also those people who want to train “to be protagonists of the digital transformation that the Government is promoting with the funds of the Recovery Plan”.
For his part, Venancio Salcines, president of FVS and EFBS Educational Group, as well as the governing council of CESUGA, thanked the delegate for his visit and pointed out that the choice of the educational group as the main partner of the Government to execute in Galicia the program for the digital transformation of SMEs “comes to recognize the quality of the training we have been teaching for more than 20 years”, also supported by the recent inclusion of EF Business School in the Forbes ranking as the best Galician business school and among the top ten in Spain.
The delegate also stressed that the Government of Pedro Sánchez “is making the Recovery Plan an unbeatable tool for business growth.” Other examples of this are the 75 million euros mobilized in the Support for Industrial Entrepreneurship plan, which facilitates the creation of new industrial initiatives and the growth and improvement of the competitiveness of companies; the Digital Kit, which already mobilized 33 million through more than 7,500 bonds in the province of A Coruña, or the offices of the Acelera SME program.
“All these items exemplify our commitment and demonstrate, once again, that this Government is on the side of companies, entrepreneurs and businesswomen, and goes with them hand in hand, putting on the table the investments that are necessary to improve their competitiveness,” concluded the delegate.
