The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today highlighted the great work that the Civil Guard body is doing to show its way of acting and to work with schoolchildren in the exhibition that took place in Sarria, a meeting requested by the City Council’s security and emergency department. In it, the subdelegate was able to observe, together with the more than 500 primary school students of the locality and vicinity, how the body developed its operations and procedures.
The subdelegate stressed that the display of the work they do on a daily basis greatly helps the body acquire a greater projection to the outside, as well as contributing to the much needed prevention by giving advice on how to act in the different situations that arise and show, developing a key role in the formation of these. Support is also offered to the centers that request this type of exhibitions and talks to teach them to respond to the newest in situations of adversity.
He also stressed that the body is made up of people who act and proceed with the greatest professionalism, putting themselves at risk many times in the operations they carry out on a daily basis, seeing in them a sense of justice innate and characteristic of the units that are part of the body. He thanked them for their work and expressed the desire that these appointments with schoolchildren continue to be developed to be beneficial for them and the centers, the latter, having more information about the body and its work to ensure the safety of the whole of society.
Didactic and enjoyable approach
The Master Plan is based on a series of talks and exhibitions on various topics focused on schools and schools, bringing together information on current topics such as the use of social networks and the Internet, drugs, prevention or operations carried out from the body, among other topics.
This time, procedures were shown that start up several units of the Civil Guard, among which are the Helicopter Unit, the Mountain Group, the Underwater Activities Group, the Service Cinolóxico among others. It also counted on the participation of the local Police, Civil Protection and Red Cross.
