The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, today approached the Commissariat of Lonzas, to welcome 15 National Police officers, 11 men and 4 women, who for eleven months will develop their internship period in different units. In which it reaches the total of the province, there are 41 agents distributed and distributed among the police stations: 16 in Santiago; 6 in Ferrol-Narón and 4 in Ribeira.
In addition to the trainees, 6 trainees, 4 men and 2 women, are also included in Lonzas, who will complete their training period as inspectors and inspectors to access the executive scale. In the total of the province there are 11 student inspectors who opt for their incorporation into the executive scale.
The internship module is the last phase of the selective process to become part of the National Police Corps after passing the opposition tests and the selective course at the National Police School of Ávila. Throughout this period the police will have a practical learning with which they will obtain the level of professionalization required for the development of their own police functions.
During this time they will provide services in different brigades of Citizen Security, Judicial Police, Aliens and Borders, Scientific Police and Information as well as in the Office of Complaints.
In addition to welcoming them, the deputy delegate congratulated the new and new agents “for having arrived here and having passed such demanding and selective tests as those of the School of Ávila”.
María Rivas stressed that during these months, her work will contribute to resolving infringements, dealing with incidents and performing an essential public service based on responsibility and commitment.
The subdelegate also stressed the importance of the incorporation of women into the Security Forces and Corps and recalled that this promotion already reaches 32% of women. In this regard, he reiterated the Government’s commitment to continue betting on the fact that police personnel reflect the demographic reality of our country. In this regard, he said that this year’s call will be the first in history that does not have a height limit, a glass barrier that limited this advance.
María Rivas also stressed the Government’s commitment not only to the recovery of troops and the material, technical and infrastructural improvement of the National Police.
