New formative stage in Galicia

82 agents and 27 inspectors
With this act, the Superior Police Headquarters of Galicia welcomes the 82 police trainees who arrive in the Community to develop their mandatory internship period. This year there are 58 men and 24 women, who are going to join the different commissariats of the Second National Police this distribution: 15 in A Coruña; 6 in Ferrol-Narón; 16 in Santiago de Compostela; 4 in Ribeira; 6 in Lugo; 7 in Ourense; 8 in Pontevedra; 12 in Vigo-Redonda; 4 in Vilagarcía de Arousa and 4 policemen in the Marín police station.
During the internship phase, which lasts eleven months, the police will obtain the level of professionalization required for the development of the functions of the police category. For this, they will serve in the citizen security brigades, judicial police, foreigners and borders, scientific police and information, as well as in the complaints office. Once this internship period is over, the agents will already be incorporated into their first job destinations.
Along with the practice police, during this month 27 student inspectors in the Open Classroom will be assigned to police stations in Galicia. Specifically, in A Coruña, Santiago, Monforte, Ourense, Pontevedra and Vigo. Of these students, 20 are men and 7 are women.
