Isabel Rodríguez highlights the importance of providing tools to Portuguese SMEs “to make the digitalization process a success”
The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today stressed the importance of responding to one of the great challenges that Galician SMEs and self-employed people have to face, such as the digitalization of their companies, “to which we have to provide tools so that they can tackle this process successfully”. It did so during the presentation this morning of the “DiGalicia Program”, promoted by the Confederation of Lugo Entrepreneurs (CEL) and Rafer Studies, with the support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, through the Recovery Plan. It is an initiative that offers free training and financial aid to entrepreneurs, workers and those made redundant to digitize their businesses.
The deputy delegate, accompanied by the secretary of the CEL, Jaime López; and the manager of Rafer Studies, Ramón Martínez; stressed at the headquarters of the Lucenese entrepreneurs that “the advancement of technology is unstoppable so that from the public and private sector we must work hand in hand so that our companies take advantage of digital opportunities, improving their competitiveness and efficiency, and promoting the creation of quality employment.”
In this regard, Isabel Rodríguez encouraged Lucan entrepreneurs, workers and the unemployed to benefit from this initiative to implement technological tools that “help to put the pillars of their companies and businesses well, to be able to grow and transform them in all their areas so that all departments can take advantage of this digitalization”.
“I hope that DiGalicia will be a real revulsive and will serve to consolidate the competitiveness of the productive fabric of Lucense, with the capacity to grow and to do so in a sustainable and resilient way,” he concluded.
Two phases
DiGalicia is divided into two phases, the first that began today and is aimed mainly at managers and managers of SME departments; and the second, oriented to unemployed and workers who seek to train as experts in digitalization, the so-called ‘Agents of Change’. The program includes virtual sessions, personalized workshops in companies and telematics material, along with support and advice to apply all the knowledge learned about digitalization in business.
