Ourense, June 15, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, held this morning a meeting with the mothers and fathers of the awarded students with a trip to Madrid in the 38th edition of the Spanish Constitution Contest that the subdelegation of the Government of Ourense celebrates every year on the occasion of the anniversary of the letter.
The meeting consisted of an informative meeting with the parents where Emilio González highlighted the “great involvement of young people” and the need for them to maintain a knowledge of our Constitution to continue advancing in the present and future towards the advancement of a consolidated democracy. In addition, the subdelegate explained the details and itinerary of the trip to the Spanish capital that the students will make between June 22 and 25.
The deputy delegate was accompanied by the secretary general of the subdelegation, Manuel Arias; the organizer of the travel agency “viajes compostela”, in charge of managing the trip; and the two officials who will accompany the minors.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
23 students of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate of the province will make the trip to the city of Madrid to know, for four days the Congress and the Senate; after having obtained the prize for photographs and texts, focused on the fundamental rights and duties contained in articles 44 and 46 of the Constitution.
The committee will be made up of 5 Baccalaureate students from the CPR Plurinlingual Santo Angel, 7 Baccalaureate students from the CPR Plurilingual Divina Pastora – Franciscanas, 1 Baccalaureate student from the IES Castro de Baronceli de Verín, 1 Baccalaureate student from CPR Pablo VI Fatima de A Rúa and 1 Baccalaureate student from CPR La Purísima. As well as 2 students from 4 ESO of the Pluringual CPR Santo Ángel and Maristas; 3 students from 1 ESO of the Plurilingual CPR Divina Pastora – Franciscans and the CPR La Purísima; 2 students from 3 ESO of the Plurilingual CPR María Inmaculada de Verín and 2 students from 2 ESO of Franciscans.
The subdelegate of the Government has pointed out that the students are the "alma mater" of the act that the institution has been celebrating for almost half a century, interpreting with "sensitivity and accuracy in their work the fundamental rights and duties of the Spanish." Likewise, Emilio González thanked the involvement of the educational community and the sponsors in the contest, “because they share with us the need to show the youngest people the richness and importance of the precepts contained in our Constitution.”
