The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, has approached this morning to the Command of the Civil Guard of A Coruña, in Lonzas to greet the nine captains and a captain who are carrying out in the Coruña dependencies part of their practices for their promotion to commanders.
The course to aspire to be a commander lasts six months and includes passing through different commanders, including A Coruña, where future and future commanders face the resolution of practical cases in which the command itself is working. They are also receiving training in human resources management, material resources and operations.
María Rivas took advantage of her visit to congratulate Captain Elena Hernández Goñi and stressed the need to make visible the work of women within the bodies and security forces of the State. He also stressed the importance of women opting for leadership positions until they achieve real equality.
Currently, the Lonzas command has 103 women on staff, of whom 3 are lieutenants, 1 sub-lieutenant, 9 sergeants, 6 closures and 84 guards.
