The Government Subdelegation collaborates in the security of the V Rally de la Mariña Lucense, which will bring together more than 10,000 motor fans
The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today chaired the Security Committee on the occasion of the fifth edition of the Rally Lucense de la Mariña scheduled for this weekend. Isabel Rodríguez stressed the need to remind fans that they are in safe places, respecting the measures established by the organization of the event, so that the event takes place in total normality. “This is a consolidated competition that will be of great help to the economy and tourism of the Navy, since an influx of between 10,000 and 20,000 spectators is expected during these three days,” said the deputy delegate.
In the meeting hosted this Monday by the Subdelegation of the Government, a wide device was defined by the Security Forces and Corps to guarantee security during the celebration of the sports event, which will take place in 6 municipalities of the Mariña region. Its work will include controlling the opening and closing of each section in the established schedule to supervise the evacuation routes and prevent infractions and behaviors that threaten the safety of pilots and the public.
This fifth Mariña Lucense Rally will take place on 12, 13 and 14 May in the municipalities of Viveiro, Xove, Cervo, Muras, Ourol and O Vicedo. The race, valid for the Championship of Galicia of Rallyes, consists of a route of 360.97 kilometers, of which 103.30 are timed. For this fifth edition there are registered 86 riders and 36 teams, among which stand out names such as those of Víctor Senra and Alberto Rey, the first two classified in the regional championship.
The president of the Mix Rallye Sport team, organizer of the race, Ignacio J, participated in the meeting. Dávila; as well as Civil Guard, Traffic Subsector, National and Local Police, Provincial Traffic Headquarters, Firefighters and Civil Protection, as well as representatives of the municipalities through which the concentration will run, and the Xunta.
