The government delegate in Galicia, José Ramón Gómez Besteiro, today encouraged local entities and deputations to join the government’s technical advisory program to speed up and facilitate the access of municipalities to the funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and ensure its correct management. He did so during a visit to the facilities of the public company Tragsa, in Santiago de Compostela, where he supervised with his territorial head, Manuel Villarroel, the development in Galicia of this program that the Ministry of Finance and Public Function promotes through Tragsatec, a subsidiary of the public company.
The delegate highlighted the footprint of the Recovery Plan at the local level, where it is already promoting 1,000 projects that impact all 313 Galician municipalities. And he recalled that the Government’s goal is not to lose a single euro of the funds of the Recovery Plan and speed up the arrival of these funds to each municipality.
Complementary advice
Tragsa has been offering this technical assistance service, through its subsidiary Tragsatec, since March 15. To be able to access this assistance, the entities must voluntarily join the program, directed from the General Secretariat of European Budgets of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function, without its accession implying additional duties to those already included in the regulations governing all the entities executing the PRTR. Tragsa, for its part, is responsible for helping the affiliated entities throughout the process, from the calls to the resolution, with special emphasis on the management of the CoFFEE platform, an integrated information system in which the managers appointed by each administration - after training - report on the progress of the projects. It will also ensure compliance with the code of good practice and the management duties of the Recovery Plan.
So far, there are 41 Galician local entities that joined this program, oriented mainly to municipalities of less than 5,000 inhabitants, but which is also open to other administrations, as is the case of the deputations.
The 41 entities that have joined Tragsa’s advisory program to date are the municipalities of Cabanas and Cabana de Bergantiños in A Coruña; those of Antas de Ulla, Bóveda, Lourenzá, Negueira de Muñiz, @A Pobra de Brollón, Rábade, Ribas de Ulla, Sober, Xove, Palas de Rei, Portomarín, Cervo, Abadín, A Pobra de Brollón, Cabanas, Cabanas
The procedures offered by this service are complementary to those already developed by the Government Delegation with the different municipalities. For this, the public company has a central assistance team, another at the regional level and an antenna team in each of the four provinces. At this time, Tragsa is finalizing the formation of these teams, which will begin to function immediately.
