The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, has participated today, together with a group of journalists, in a dramatized visit to the building of the subdelegation. He did so with the help of a guide who played the role of Antonio de Orléans, Duque de Montpensier, who visited A Coruña on July 21, 1852, disembarking at the pier in front of the Aduana building, the current seat of the Government’s subdelegation.
During today’s visit we have reviewed the different historical uses of the building that was built at the end of the 18th century and which in 1947 became the headquarters of the Civil Government of A Coruña. A Civil Government that was shown for the first time to the local press in September of the same year.
The subdelegate of the Government explained the meaning of this visit “so that a different facet of this building is known, a historical facet of more than 200 years and that we believe may be of interest to the citizens since surely it is unknown what the role of this building has been throughout history”.
Today’s visit is part of the activities programmed by the Government’s subdelegation in A Coruña during Open Administration Week, which will be repeated tomorrow at 6 p.m. The registration fee has already been exhausted. In this regard, the subdelegate thanked the interested party and did not rule out returning to this visit on other dates.
