The government delegate in Galicia, José Miñones, announced this morning that the government has approved, through an Order of the Ministry of Finance and Public Service, the granting of regional incentives to two Galician projects in the amount of more than 320,000 euros.
These are two projects with an investment of 2.2 million euros and grants of 324,325 euros. The two beneficiary companies are located in the municipality of Silleda (Industrias Guerra) and in the municipality of Mos (Ranges Conservation), in the province of Pontevedra.
As the delegate explained, “this is another good news for Galicia, and specifically for the province of Pontevedra, since it will allow to maintain 95 jobs and create 16 new jobs in the two companies selected.” This aid demonstrates “the government’s commitment to the Galician productive fabric and confidence in its capacity for innovation,” he said.
The total amount of grants granted by the Executive, which are distributed among a total of 25 projects in 7 autonomous communities, is 21.1 million euros and will allow to mobilize a total investment of 101.1 million euros. These projects will maintain 1,112 jobs and create another 323 new jobs.
José Miñones stressed that this aid contributes “to the interterritorial economic balance and to inclusive and sustainable economic growth and reinforces the Government’s firm commitment to territorial cohesion and business innovation.” Through the financing of productive investment projects, job generators, technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable, it is intended to promote economic activity in the regions with a lower level of development, thus contributing to closing the gap in terms of per capita income with the rest of the regions, not only of Spain but also of the EU.
In particular, the aid approved by the Government goes to Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, the Canary Islands, Castilla y León, Andalusia and Extremadura.
