Ourense, February 23, 2023.- The program “MAVI: the traveler’s suitcase against gender violence” of the Government Subdelegation ended today its phase in the women’s module in which it reached more than 16 inmates of the Pereiro de Aguiar Penitentiary Center. The project, which began last November, in the framework of the commemorative events of the 25th International Day against Violence against Women, which promotes the reading of books with a feminist perspective, seeks to generate strengths so that men and women can face personal challenges. MAVI contains texts that promote reflection, awareness and awareness on key issues to achieve a more egalitarian and violence-free society, promoting critical thinking in the face of stereotypes and gender roles that perpetuate violence and inequality. MAVI moves to the therapeutic behavior module
From today, "MAVI" moves to the CTI module - intrapenitentiary therapeutic behaviors - managed by Proyecto Hombre. Where in the coming months, the inmates of the module will be able to access the different readings and share their experiences as members of the National Police, Civil Guard and Local Police teams that work with victims of male violence in the VioGen system of the province.
