O Bolo (Ourense), February 22, 2023.- Emilio González put O Bolo as an example of the government’s commitment to small municipalities, “which are called to be protagonists in the transformation of Spain into a green, digital, sustainable and cohesive country, to achieve the objectives of the demographic challenge.” The deputy delegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, reaffirmed the commitment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez for the green transition and the digitalization of rural councils, with investments that, in O Bolo, exceed 280,000 euros through three ministries. Emilio González went to the City Council of O Bolo this morning.
There he held a meeting with the mayor, Manuel Corzo, and the municipal corporation, to present the lines authorized by the Government for the municipalities, supervise the state investments in this municipality and know their demands and opinions. Emilio González advanced the impact of the investments in digitalization that the Government is carrying out, through the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, and that will also reach O Bolo. This action is part of the UNICO-Broadband Program, within the Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. He explained that the UNICO-Broadband Program will provide ultra-fast broadband connection to 165 families and companies in O Bolo, which will mean that more than 80% of the inhabitants of the Council will have a digital connection.
Public lighting efficiency
In the same green transition line, the subdelegate included the grants granted by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, through the Institute for Energy Diversification IDAE. This aid amounted to 270,827.60 euros and with it the City Council faced the energy improvement of the municipal lighting of this City Council.
Institutional visit to the Hermidas Shrine and the cultural properties of the City Council
Later, Emilio González made an institutional visit to the Shrine of As Hermidas accompanied by the mayor and the members of the corporation and transferred the Government's aid for the rehabilitation of Goods of Cultural Interest, like the Shrine, with a rate of 2% cultural . A new line of aid that raises from 1.5% to 2% the Government budget for the promotion of historical heritage and the promotion of artistic creativity and that is developed by MITMA and the Ministry of Culture and Sport. He also visited the cultural heritage of the City Council, such as the Castle rehabilitated with European funds from the Leader program and the Yosso Museum “in a clear commitment of the Government Group for the promotion and dynamization of the cultural and historical heritage of the town”, as highlighted by Emilio González.
Likewise, the Deputy Delegate transferred to the corporation the rural Post plan that will allow the Post procedures to be brought closer to the homes and they will be able to perform functions without the inhabitants of the countryside having to travel, thus promoting the digitalization and habitability of rural services.
